Successful Donation to Namaka Health Centre
On Friday, August 9th, we made a meaningful contribution to the local community by donating boxes of surgical masks to the Namaka Health Centre.
The donation was presented by one of our esteemed employees, Fatima Ali, who was recently crowned as Miss Bula 2024. This donation is a part of our ongoing commitment to supporting essential services in the communities where our employees live and work.
The Namaka Health Centre, located conveniently close to our Nadi office, has been serving the public for over 50 years. As one of the few full-time operating government-funded health centres in the subdivision area, it plays a crucial role in providing healthcare to the local population.
Many of our staff members visit Namaka Health Centre for their medical needs, making it a natural choice for this donation.
Representatives from the Namaka Health Centre expressed deep gratitude for our company’s generosity. They highlighted that their facility often struggles to secure necessary resources, as donations are typically directed to other nearby health centres.
“We work on the bare minimum,“
One representative noted, emphasizing the challenges they face in providing basic healthcare services.
The donation of surgical masks will greatly enhance their ability to serve patients, particularly those who are underprivileged and unable to afford private healthcare.
At Wormald, giving back to the community is a core value. We recognize the importance of supporting institutions like Namaka Health Centre, which in turn provide vital services to the community.
We plan to continue efforts in contributing to the well-being of the community by making similar donations in the future, not just to Namaka Health Centre but to other deserving institutions as well.
The successful donation underscores our commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen, demonstrating our dedication to improving the lives of those in the communities we serve.
