Celebrating Fatima Ali’s Triumph as Miss Bula 2024
Guardforce Fiji is proud to announce that Fatima Ali, one of our dedicated employees from the Nadi branch, has been crowned Miss Bula 2024!
This remarkable achievement not only highlights Fatima’s talent and dedication but also marks a significant milestone for Guardforce Fiji as it was our first time participating in the Bula Festival Pageant—and we walked away with the crown.
Fatima began her journey with Guardforce Fiji two years ago as a Security Officer in Nadi. Her diligent work ethic and commitment to excellence quickly propelled her career forward, and she now serves as our Quality Assurance Admin Officer.
In this role, she ensures that trainee security officers for Airports Fiji Limited receive the full 80 hours of essential training.
Fatima’s success in both her professional career and the pageant is a testament to the opportunities and growth available within Guardforce Fiji.
We, at Guardforce Fiji, were proud to sponsor Fatima in the Bula Festival Pageant, reflecting our commitment to supporting our employees in their personal and professional endeavours.
We also saw this as an opportunity to showcase the admirable and honourable nature of the security profession.
By supporting Fatima, we aimed to change the narrative around security work, demonstrating that it is a career filled with dignity and potential for growth.
Preparing for the pageant was no small feat. Fatima balanced her daily responsibilities at Guardforce Fiji, working from 8AM to 5PM, with rigorous rehearsals that often extended into the late evenings and weekends.
Her preparation included perfecting her introduction, performance item, catwalk, and wave.
Over the five-day festival, she impressed the judges and audience alike with her henna design, Indo-Fijian and iTaukei dances, a presentation, and participation in the festival’s float.
Reflecting on her crowning moment, Fatima shared,
“I can’t describe how happy I am. I’ve been with the company for quite some time, so to be able to represent them was such an honour, let alone walk away with the crown.”
Being called up on stage to receive the crown is a moment she will cherish forever.
At Guardforce Fiji, we could not be prouder of Fatima’s hard work and dedication. Her victory is not only a personal triumph but also a significant step toward achieving our goal of changing the perception of the security profession.
